At Estia Health our purpose is to enrich and celebrate life together. By living this purpose we can make a difference to the lives of our residents.
Joined by family and friends, the staff and residents at Estia Health Albury have held a ‘Say No to elder abuse’ event recently to show their unity against the abuse and suffering of older people.
Staff and residents from Estia Mount Coolum recently had a chance to dust-off their blue suede shoes and rock and roll to Elvis classics.
Wanting to inspire the employees and give them a much-needed break, Estia Health Leopold recently paused for their Employee Wellness Day.
I was in supermarkets and other retail for 28 years and I decided to make a career change. I went back to TAFE and studied for six months to get the certificate. You don't realise that you've got these skills, but just like in retail, you have to work with people, talk to people, time management, be flexible. You go home and you feel like you've actually helped someone.

After I had my youngest daughter, I wanted a career change and thought I'd love to look after people. So I did my aged care course and my individual support and then I liked that so much that I went on and did my lifestyle course, which I really enjoyed. I did my course with a lady who worked here and she said, “Come and do your placement here. It's such a good place. The staff are great. Residents are amazing.” So I did that. And the rest is history.
