Assistant in Nursing

Estia Health

I left I left school in year 11 and joined Estia on a placement. My favourite part about my role is making the residents day easier and seeing them happy. I enjoy coming to work every day. I’m learning how to communicate with lots of different people.

As an AIN we are there for the residents whenever they need, giving emotional support and if their families don’t visit we are always there for them - they have such interesting lives, it’s nice to listen to them. To have a successful career in the aged care sector you have to be very patient, kind and caring. I’m proud to work with Estia, seeing how happy the residents get when their needs are met is so rewarding.
