Transport Services Lead

Ventia is seeking a passionate and driven fixed term Transport Services Lead to oversee the efficient and effective delivery of transport services in support of our Defence contract during exercise activities March through to the end of October.

What You'll Do:
Lead the Charge: Ensure the smooth operation and compliance of our Transport Services, delivering on all contract obligations, including managing fleet vehicles and providing administrative support.
Drive Productivity: Organize, prioritize, and manage transport schedules, making sure tasks run like clockwork—no matter how big or small!
Keep it Rolling: Coordinate everything from driver allocation to vehicle inspections and maintenance, making sure all fleet vehicles are operational and safe.
Client Focused: Deliver top-notch service to Defence personnel, dignitaries, and our valued clients while keeping communication smooth and customer satisfaction high.
Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Quickly and efficiently address any transport-related issues and keep service performance on track.
Be a Continuous Improvement Champion: Look for innovative ways to boost productivity and reduce costs, contributing to a culture of excellence.
What You Need to Bring:
Transport Experience: Proven background in transport, logistics, or supply chain operations—bonus points for linehaul or public transport experience.
Leadership Skills: Ability to guide, train, and support a dedicated team while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Defence Know-How: Ability to work within Defence-specific systems and maintain the necessary clearances.
Safety First: A commitment to driving zero harm and fostering a safe working environment at all times.
Drive and Flexibility: A can-do attitude and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced, ever-evolving team.
Licenses: Hold and maintain a valid NT Coach driver’s license (50-seater capacity).
