Ventia’s Joint Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) is seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor to drive the success of our day-to-day operations. If you have a strong background in technical investigation, audits, inspections and a passion for leading and developing teams, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You Will be Doing:

  • Allocate maintenance tasks to qualified employees, ensuring optimal team performance and skill matching
  • Provide guidance to technical staff on procedures, ensuring all work meets compliance and quality standards
  • Mentor and develop technical employees, identifying training needs and supporting their professional growth
  • Oversee inspections and quality checks, ensuring all maintenance tasks are carried out to the highest standards
  • Manage accurate documentation of all maintenance tasks in job records and the Maintenance Management System
  • Investigate material defects, reporting issues promptly to ensure swift resolution
  • Monitor work orders, ensuring timely completion and addressing any delays or backlogs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Certificate IV in Engineering
  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams, managing activities, and performing technical investigations
  • Expertise in quality audits and technical inspections to ensure standards are consistently met
  • Strong ability to manage and coordinate maintenance planning and production outputs
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance management software (e.g., MILIS, SAP, or similar systems)
  • Proficiency in computer IT applications, including Microsoft Office Suite

To be considered for this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1). You must also be an Australian citizen to meet this requirement.
