Exciting Opportunity: Casual Stores Person – Join the Hospitality and Catering Team in the NT Region!
Ventia is seeking a Casual Stores Person to join our fast-paced Hospitality and Catering team in the Northern Territory, starting in mid-January/early February. This is an exciting role that offers a dynamic and varied work environment where you’ll be providing essential back-of-house support to a high-volume commercial kitchen. With a 7-day rotating roster, including weekend shifts, and the delivery of meals across a range of sites, you’ll never have a dull moment!
Key Responsibilities:

Perishable Item Checks: Ensure all packaged and perishable items (bread, milk, etc.) are checked for best-before/use-by dates before service, keeping everything fresh and up to standard.

Premises & Equipment Cleaning: Keep the kitchen and storage areas sparkling clean and organised, ensuring a safe, efficient working environment.

Customer Service Excellence: Provide top-notch service, always going the extra mile to ensure smooth operations.

Stock Management: Assist with restocking, stock rotation, and the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, and goods, ensuring everything is stored correctly.

Inventory Control: Help with regular stock takes and manage inventory control, ensuring the kitchen never runs out of key supplies.

HACCP Compliance: Ensure daily compliance with the facility’s HACCP program to maintain food safety standards.
Skills & Experience You’ll Need:

Outstanding customer service – your positive attitude and dedication will make a difference!

Hospitality & Catering knowledge (preferred but not essential) – experience working in a busy kitchen environment is a plus.

Driver’s License and own transport – for smooth logistics and travel between sites.

Forklift Licence – essential for managing stock and handling large deliveries safely.

Basic computer skills – the ability to use online rostering systems and manage stock inventory efficiently.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to maintain a Defence clearance.
- This role requires the ability to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
