Site Supervisor


Due to an increase in work Ventia requires Site Supervisors to join their Fixed Network teams in Bundaberg and Brisbane. This is a full-time position which requires you to have telecommunication network experience and civil works knowledge with a flexible approach to travel.

About the Role
In this role you will be responsible to coordinate and direct a team of multi disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities.

The role encompasses aspects of HSEQ, Resource & Programme Management, Community & Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership. Duties include but are not limited to – 

  • Drive a strong safety culture including completing audits and inspections, workplace observations, permits, incident management, pre starts and toolboxes
  • Conduct walkouts, planning, scoping and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and in accordance with the construction plans and delivery schedule
  • Lead and manage a team of subcontractors including briefs, scope of work, escalating issues and that works are completed compliant to contractual agreements
  • Ensure artefacts for achieving Practical Completion of construction are completed and submitted on time and any deficiencies/defects are rectified in a timely manner
  • Liaise with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction
  • Understand community and stakeholder requirements from the FSA Management and actively manage these requirements on site during construction
  • Foster a team culture of ownership, provide development opportunities, training and address performance issues


Required Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role with NBN/Telstra experience

  • Trade qualification or qualification in related field
  • Sound computer skills
  • Solid supervisor experience
  • Good communication, time management and problem-solving skills
  • End to end project / works delivery experience
