Senior Risk Analyst

About the role:  

Reporting to our General Manager of Risk & Assurance our Risk Lead is responsible for supporting to operationalise Ventia's Risk Management Framework by working with Group Functions and Sectors with their risk related requirements. 

Collaborating closely with senior leaders and operations you will provide SME advice and analysis for information to enable the business to identify, assess, manage and report on their risks, including the effectiveness of their control environments. 

You will implement the Risk and Opportunity Management Standard to build risk management awareness and maturity within the organisation.

Based at our Beautiful North Sydney head office we offer a flexible work atmosphere splitting your time in the office and work from home. We would also consider basing from our Melbourne office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and deliver training, workshops and awareness programs.
  • Lead, foster and promote the development of a positive risk and compliance culture within the organisation as a trusted advisor on best practice, risk management methodologies and contribute to developing a mature risk management culture.
  • Serve as the SME on risk management principles for the delivery of business initiatives.
  • Delivery timely and accurate analysis and reporting to the executive leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate risk and assurance management processes.
  • Support projects, to analyse risk, plausible impacts and probabilities with regard to political, business, security, financial and other risk related areas. 

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise risk environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills able to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders both operational and executive leadership level.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify underlying root causes.
  • Certification as a Risk Management Professional (CRMP) is not essential but would be held in high regard.
