Senior Arborist

Ventia is a long-term provider of tree management services for the Mornington Peninsula Shire. We have recently resecured the Tree Management Services contract and are looking to engage a Senior Arborist.
The Opportunity:
You'll play a vital role in overseeing the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Vegetation Inspection and Reporting (VIR) and Street Tree Planting (STP) programs. You’ll also assist operational teams in planning our Electrical Lines Clearance (ELC) and Area Vegetation Program (AVP). This leadership position will require you to:
- Drive Operations Excellence: Oversee a team of inspecting arborists in delivery of VIR and STR programs, completing relevant reporting requirements. Assist in development of yearly schedules for ELC and AVP programs.
- Become a Customer Service Leader: Oversee customer service requests and ensure prompt communication, issue resolution, and exceptional client experiences from teams.
- Lead and Inspire: Mentor, train, and manage your team, oversee hiring, resource allocation, and professional development.
- Champion Risk Management and SHEQ: Shape a safety-first culture ensuring teams adherence to all safety and compliance standards.
- Foster Collaboration: Represent the Shire and company at stakeholder meetings.
About You
- Certified Arborist: Cert V or higher in Arboriculture
- Strategic Planner: Proven success in developing and executing vegetation management programs.
- Exceptional Communicator: Build strong client and team relationships with your clear, courteous communication style.
- Leader of Leaders: Skilled in performance management, coaching, and fostering a positive, values-driven team environment.
- Passionate About Safety: Committed to embedding SHEQ best practices in all operations.
