A new opportunity for a Scheduler to join Ventia in Townsville working on a Defence Contract. This is full time permanent position based at Ross Island Barracks. You are required to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1).

About the Role
In this role you will support the Site Manager to ensure effective, efficient and best practice scheduling, resourcing, progress monitoring and performance assessment and reporting. You will regularly coordinate with the client regarding progress and performance. As the scheduler you will be working with a technical team on site and will schedule work orders for maintenance work on fleet landing craft including resource management (trades) and coordinating repair parts and equipment. Your responsibilities also include initiating actions to prevent occurrences of non-conformance and implement solutions for corrective actions and attending various production and scheduling meetings. You will also have a focus on continuous improvements and innovations, analysing and recommending improvements to current Ventia and Defence maintenance practices and drive excellence in risk and SHEQ performance.
Required Skills and Experience
You must possess sound understanding and experience in scheduling activities in a complexed maintenance environment including work order management to achieve technical outputs.
