Regional Manager


The Regional Manager will be leading the coordination and integration of the Defence Maintenance Contract in QLD and NSW.

You will be a highly visible leader, managing the regional operations, engaging with customers and delivery teams at each site to ensure the delivery of Defence capability.  

The incumbent ideally will be located around RAAF Amberley (Brisbane) or alternatively in Moorebank (Sydney) with the expectation to travel when required.

Key selection criteria 
Ideally you will have a background managing large heavy fleet workshops and experience working within Defence accompanied with: 

  • Experience in contract management; management of technical staff, subcontractors and support staff. 
  • Proven client relationship management.
  • Has strong communication skills and experience building effective teams. 
  • Financial and Commercial acumen across multiple business P&L PNL.
  • Provide leadership and direction to multiple site leaders through encouraging safety, collaboration and continuous improvement and safety.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching a team, including cultivating diverse and socially inclusive teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, Data and risk analysis and evidence-based decision making.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Overseeing the operational activities of the geographical region to ensure performance objectives are achieved.
  • Collaboratively working with the Client to develop and maintain a healthy, trusted relationship with a focus on adding value to the Client’s business.
  • Develop a strong team with a focus on a collaborative, customer centric, safety culture.
  • Recommending maintenance Developing improvements in productivity and/or cost to be implemented and monitored.
  • Actively leading implementation of change initiatives.
  • Overseeing financial and commercial performance of the contract.
  • Ensures operational adherence to Defence policy and procedures.
