Project Engineer (Mechanical & Civil Works)

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. 

Ventia builds, operates and maintains water and sewerage assets for several customers in Queensland, including Port of Brisbane. 

About the Role 

The Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager / Engineering Manager, the role will deliver civil, minor capital and mechanical works for water and waste projects.
In this hands-on role, you will split your time between site, and our Pinkenba office, with the flexibility to balance this with working from home. 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project planning and management 
  • Provide technical oversight, 
  • Site and contractor management
  • Budget and cost control 
  • Risk Management 
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance

About You  

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in project engineering within the Queensland water industry, including civil, minor capital, and mechanical works.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Proficient in project management software and engineering tools.
