As a Procurement Coordinator, you will support the Project Manager and project team in planning, executing, and monitoring project material activities and deliverables. You will play a key role in coordinating procurement processes, resource management, and vendor relations for the Wamarra E&I program while mitigating potential risks. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between the project team and key stakeholders.

This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of $80,000 - $90,000 TFR and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, or Brisbane. The position follows a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home 3-4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Ordering: Process and coordinate purchase orders for materials and services aligned with project needs.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating optimal pricing and terms.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Track stock levels and forecast material requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on procurement activities, budget expenditures, and material status for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance, and other teams to integrate procurement strategies with project goals.
  • Problem Solving: Address procurement challenges, such as delivery delays or order discrepancies, ensuring minimal project disruptions.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong ability to plan, execute, and monitor project progress and performance.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular) and MS Teams; experience with Power BI is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive problem-solving approach to procurement-related challenges.
  • A current driver’s license is required.
