Painter - Reactive Maintenance - Commercial

About The Role
We are seeking Painter in the Melbourne CBD region for an opportunity in proactive and reactive maintenance works in a large complex facility.
This is a permanent full-time role from Monday – Friday. The hours are from 7.00am – 3.00pm
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Performing planned maintenance tasks relating to painting, decorating & building presentation.
- Respond to reactive requests as required (Graffiti, Make-Safe for offensive material etc)
- Assist in managing & maintaining tools and equipment.
- Operate plant equipment where qualified and licensed.
- Perform manual tasks associated with maintenance and construction as required, including safe working duties.
- Assist other trades & contractors as required
- Completing detailed service reports for works completed in a digital format
About You:
You will have experience as a Painter working in a commercial environment, familiar with many substrates & paint types and be able to determine their effectiveness & correct usage. You will possess the ability to be self-managed and maintain delivery expectations, order materials & equipment if required and manage job quantities and stock.
You will also possess:
- Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating or significant experience
- Competency in delivering high quality results under your own supervision
- Competence in a team environment
- Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with stakeholders on a day to day basis
- High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) in your work
- A current unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Be able to complete and pass a National Police Check, Medical and Working with Children
