Painter - Reactive Maintenance - Commercial

About The Role
We are seeking Painter in the Melbourne CBD region for an opportunity in proactive and reactive maintenance works in a large complex facility.

This is a permanent full-time role from Monday – Friday. The hours are from 7.00am – 3.00pm

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Performing planned maintenance tasks relating to painting, decorating & building presentation.
  • Respond to reactive requests as required (Graffiti, Make-Safe for offensive material etc)
  • Assist in managing & maintaining tools and equipment.  
  • Operate plant equipment where qualified and licensed.
  • Perform manual tasks associated with maintenance and construction as required, including safe working duties.
  • Assist other trades & contractors as required
  • Completing detailed service reports for works completed in a digital format

About You: 
You will have experience as a Painter working in a commercial environment, familiar with many substrates & paint types and be able to determine their effectiveness & correct usage. You will possess the ability to be self-managed and maintain delivery expectations, order materials & equipment if required and manage job quantities and stock.

You will also possess:

  • Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating or significant experience
  • Competency in delivering high quality results under your own supervision
  • Competence in a team environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with stakeholders on a day to day basis
  • High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) in your work
  • A current unrestricted drivers’ licence
  • Be able to complete and pass a National Police Check, Medical and Working with Children
