Leading Fire Fighter
With over 35 years' experience working with Defence and with the recently awarded 6-year Firefighting Services contract, 2025 is an exciting time to join Ventia. In support of this newly awarded contract, Ventia are seeking a
Leading Fire Fighter in our Fire and Rescue operations at HMAS Cerberus, Victoria.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain an effective operational readiness in accordance with the relevant policies and guidelines of Ventia.
- Respond fire crews to incidents as required at the applicable fire station and maintain support and communications where required to the Incident Controller.
- Provide competent response capability and supervision of emergency and training situations.
- Assist the OIC of the Fire Station to ensure that all relevant administrative duties associated with the operational aspect of the fire station are performed.
- Participate in the Fire Station training and development plan.
- May be required to back-fill other fire stations within the state or around the country
Other Requirements:
- Hold the relevant Public Safety (Fire Sector) competencies required under the relevant Certified Agreements and/or recognised State and Territory fire services
- A strong focus on team orientation.
- You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance.
