Hospitality and Catering Supervisor
Ventia, a proud partner of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), is on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Hospitality and Catering Supervisor to join our world-class Defence Accommodation Precinct (DAP-D) in Darwin, Northern Territory.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in hospitality and catering to take the lead in delivering exceptional services to the ADF community. In this role, you will oversee and manage our Hospitality and Catering services, working closely with the Site Manager to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of services a DAP-D over our exercise period early February - Late October where we will see over 3500 visiting defence members at our facility

Key Responsibilities:

Stocktake Coordination: Oversee the monthly bar & beverage stocktake, ensuring reports are completed accurately and on time as per the end-of-month schedule.

Roster Management: Control, monitor, and complete weekly rosters, working with F&B Supervisors to ensure they meet budgetary constraints and contractual requirements.

Team Engagement: Attend and conduct regular pre-start meetings with team & F&B teamleaders to set expectations and ensure alignment.

Meal Pass Data: Accurately input all meal pass data into the actual/forecast spreadsheet on time.

Customer Feedback: Regularly review customer comment logs and ensure timely responses within 24 hours with a high standard of communication.

Compliance: Ensure that messes are meeting buffet compliance and all related toolboxes and documents are uploaded into the IMS system.
What You’ll Bring:

Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing large commercial catering operations, with a strong focus on customer service.

Computer Proficiency: Well-developed computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, and IMS (or similar integrated management systems).

Leadership Skills: Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Food Safety Knowledge: Sound knowledge of food safety standards, relevant legislation, and statutory obligations (Food Safety for Supervisors certification is desirable, but training will be provided).

Passion for Service: Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all Defence personnel.
