Field Quality Specialist


The Opportunity 
A new and exciting opportunity has become available within the Telecommunications sector at Ventia. As our Field Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing on-site quality control and assurance activities, ensuring workmanship, products, and processes comply with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role involves a hands-on approach to train, monitor, inspect, and enhance the quality of work in the field.

Beyond field oversight, the Field Quality Specialist will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Acceptance team, including training, mentoring, and conducting quality performance evaluations.

Additionally, the Field Quality Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Project, Construction, Acceptance and Safety teams, to drive ongoing improvements in field operations, project delivery and Right First-Time outcomes.

Could you be our Field Quality Specialist? 

  • Engineering degree, Quality Management or Construction Management certification, or relevant field related certification are a plus but not essential
  • Previous experience in Telecommunications mobile wireless sector is essential
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred
  • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a field related role in the mobile wireless sector
  • Strong leadership experience with a passion for training delivery  
  • Experience in field operations or construction / industrial environments is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and techniques (e.g., statistical process control, inspection methodologies, root cause analysis)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASQ, etc.) and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and implement solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders and working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong self-motivation, time management and organisational ability
  • Ability to work in diverse and dynamic environments, often under pressure
