About The Role:
Ventia is the largest provider of Defence estate support services and facilities management across Australia. We have over 20 years’ experience delivering base support capability from hospitality to rescue services to warehousing, and Transport. 

Join the team at our Simpson Barracks in Yallambie, Melbourne, Victoria and assist with the day-to-day driving service for our current and ex defence military personnel.

This is a casual position across operation hours on Monday - Friday between 7.30am – 4pm with ad-hoc weekend work available. This role offers a pay rate of $26.91 per hour, plus casual loading, plus super.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete mail runs throughout the base 
  • Sorting the mail in the mailroom and delivering to relevant defence members/locations at base. 
  • Transport defence members and clientele around base 
  • Operate, manage and clean Ventia fleet vehicles, designated Defence fleet vehicles and hired vehicles
  • Manage and monitor equipment in the wash point facility

Key Skills & Attributes Include:

  • Full, clean, drivers license 
  • Commercial Passenger Vehicle Authority Licence
  • AU Citizenship 
  • DC accreditation is desirable but not essential 
  • Defence background desirable but not essential
  • Qualified and able to undertake driving tasks in compliance with Defence Policy
  • Strong customer service skills


You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
