Construction Supervisor


Construction Supervisor required to join our QLD Regional Transport Team supporting Roads and Pavements projects. This is a full-time position based in Stapylton with required travel.

About the Role
You will be responsible to lead and manage project site level resources on road and pavements construction projects to ensure all work activity is carried out safely while meeting key performance indicators focussing on quality of work, minimising impacts to road users and local communities and enhancing environmental and sustainability outcomes. 

You will be required to work closely with client representatives to monitor and drive peak services performance across their designated projects.

The role encompasses aspects of HSEQ, Leadership and teamwork and service delivery. Duties include but are not limited to –

  • Driving strong safety culture, conducting regular toolboxes and addressing safety, quality and performance standards
  • Maintaining sound relationships with all stakeholders and working with project stakeholders to resolve issues and plan works in advance
  • Provide leadership in delivery, recording and completion of civil construction activities at site level and provide guidance in delivering best for network solutions
  • Assess competency of team members and facilitate training and development
  • Management of quality assurance and conformance 
  • Monitoring and analysing time and resource utilisation including materials in line programme and budgets and ensuring cost/value analysis is undertaken on jobs and activities
  • Planning and scheduling of work to meet required timelines and outputs


Required Skills and Experience
Experience in a similar role with sound leadership / supervisory experience and roads and/or civil experience.

  • Cert IV Civil Construction – desirable
  • TMR experience - desirable
  • Current drivers licence
  • Construction white card
  • Extensive traffic management knowledge
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to find and execute value adding initiatives
  • Strong computer skills
