Assistant Director - North


ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – NORTH REGIONAL 

About the role:

As part of our on-going contract with the Department of Justice, Ventia are seeking an experienced Assistant Director to oversee operation service delivery for Persons in Custody within the North WA region.   


As a critical member of our CSCS Senior Management team, you will ensure effective management and performance of Logistics, Resource Management, and Court Operations across multiple locations in the North of Western Australia   

In addition, you will provide advisory management and operational expertise to the Operational Support Manager and Care Security Managers to ensure the specific business streams deliver the required service whilst maintaining a dedicated focus on security, safety and duty of care. 

Collaborating with the Deputy Director and other Assistant Directors you will fulfill all operational and commercial obligations by engaging with stakeholders, including but not limited to Court Registry, Roebourne, Broome, and West Kimberly prisons, Police, and CRAD

  • A collaborative management style and the ability to forge highly productive internal and external working relationships 
  • In-depth knowledge of legislations and compliance requirements relevant to the Justice or Corrections sector  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of computer proficiency (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the contract wide strategic plan and goals 
  • Oversight of people management, absence management, recruitment, training and performance evaluation for all staff within your remit of responsibility 
  • Oversee compliance with internal polices, departmental regulations, and legal obligations, including the CSCS Act 1999 
  • Be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen  
  • Have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police Check, Criminal History Check & Working with Children Check  

What we offer: 

$144,950 Total fixed remuneration 

Plus Regional Allowance $$ depending on your location
