Airfield Support Officer
Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.
In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking an Airfield Support Officer to join the team at RAAF Base East Sale.
Reporting to the Air Movement Supervisor, this permanent Monday to Friday full-time role will see you providing support to Defence aircrafts arriving from other Defence Bases.
What you will be doing:
- Perform FOD visuals on the parking area prior to visiting aircraft arrival / departure.
- Maintenance of base FOD register.
- Passenger handling for arrivals and departures.
- Provision of safety briefs to passengers.
- Manifesting and maintaining flight folders and procedural documents.
- Provision of rations baggage handling, inspections, weighing and assist with transport to and from aircraft.
- Assist with PAX loading to and from aircraft transport of PAX between Air Movements terminal and accommodation.
- Palletising of cargo and assist with the loading to and from aircraft.
To considered for this position, you will need to have:
- Experience in Airfield Movements desirable however training will be provided.
- Public Relations experience or similar within Defence sector desirable
- Medium Rigid Truck License desirable
- Experience in loading and unloading of cargo and goods.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Sound problem solving, organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
