Technician


Ventia requires an Electrician to join their Maintenance and Engineering Team on the Transurban Contract working on Queensland Motorways and Tunnel Network Systems. The role is based in Brisbane and requires you to work both days and nights.

About the Role
You will fault find and resolve problems quickly, safely and get plant / equipment back online with minimal downtime. PLC, High Voltage and Hazardous Area experience is also highly regarded. Duties include:

  • Repair and maintain instrumentation, communication and monitoring systems throughout the Transurban network
  • Perform corrective maintenance activities, fault-finding, and repair services
  • Planned preventative maintenance routines and make performance checks as required
  • Coordinate with the management team on maintenance work which affects the tunnel operations
  • Respond to tunnel incidents, liaise with incident response crew and emergency services when required
  • Self-mange materials and assist management with store activities for consumables and spare parts as required to complete works

Required Skills and Experience
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role working on motorways and tunnels. Maintenance experience from other industries will be highly regarded (manufacturing / processing plants / water treatment facilities / mining).

  • Electrical Trade Qualification 
  • QLD electrical licence
  • Current first aid, CPR and LVR
  • Construction white card
  • Current drivers’ licence 
  • Desirable tickets
    • Confined space with breathing apparatus
    • Elevated work platform (licence and experience)
    • Working at heights
