About the position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Systems Consultant to join the Health & Safety team at Snowy Hydro. This role offers the chance to assist with the ongoing maintenance, evaluation, and improvement of Snowy Hydro’s health and safety management system, contributing directly to a safer and more efficient work environment. This is a full time role that can be based in Cooma, Melbourne or Sydney. This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a world-class safety culture at Snowy Hydro.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining databases and other sources to ensure the integrity and availability of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) information and records.
  • Collate and interrogate WHS data to provide reliable information for the purposes of scheduled and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide support and advice to a range of internal customers about the health and safety management system.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of health and safety documentation, policies, and records, keeping them current and relevant.

About you:

  • High-level computer literacy and experience using various computer systems to manage and report on data effectively.
  • Proven experience in data handling, analysis, and the ability to extract actionable insights for reporting purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and communicate with all levels of the workforce, ensuring clarity and understanding on health and safety issues.
  • A customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and delivering on-time results.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports and documents.
  • Knowledge or qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Snowy Hydro’s corporate values, ensuring a commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
