The Role

As the Project Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing enterprise and project risk management activities, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated across all phases of the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. This pivotal role will involve working closely with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to establish a robust risk management framework and culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing a robust risk management framework tailored to the needs of the Snowy 2.0 project.
  • Identifying analysing, and evaluating key risks impacting project success.
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of risk treatment plans to ensure alignment with the Company's broader risk appetite.
  • Collaborating with Project Directors and teams to improve the control environment and enhance assurance to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Driving a positive risk culture within major projects, including delivering risk training to project teams.
  • Preparing concise and actionable risk reports tailored to the needs of various stakeholders, including project teams, directors, and workstream leads, as well as Board and executive governance committees, shareholders, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Addressing broader governance, risk, and compliance matters by capturing the flow-on impacts of project risks across the business, supporting enterprise risk management initiatives, assisting with project reviews and audits, and providing guidance and oversight to smaller projects.

You'll Bring To The Team:

Extensive experience in enterprise and project risk management, strong knowledge of risk frameworks, and excellent analytical and communication skills. With a proven ability to collaborate and drive project success, you hold relevant qualifications in risk management or project management.
