About the position:

As a Project Risk Manager, you will lead enterprise and project risk management initiatives, ensuring that risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated throughout all phases of the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project. You will collaborate closely with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to build a strong risk management framework and culture.

Based in Cooma, we offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements and relocation support, with a preference for relocation to Cooma. If you choose a hybrid work model, you’ll need to be available to travel to Cooma on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust risk management framework aligned with the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project’s needs.
  • Identify, analyse, and evaluate key risks that could impact project success.
  • Support the development and monitoring of risk treatment plans, ensuring alignment with the organization's broader risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with Project Directors and teams to enhance the control environment and provide assurance to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Promote a positive risk culture within the project, including delivering targeted risk training to project teams.
  • Prepare clear and actionable risk reports for a variety of stakeholders, including project teams, directors, governance committees, shareholders, and external partners.
  • Address broader governance, risk, and compliance matters, supporting enterprise risk management initiatives, project reviews, audits, and providing guidance to smaller projects.

Your relevant qualifications in risk management or project management further enhance your ability to contribute meaningfully to the success of the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project.
