Project Manager - Power Station Complex

The Role

This role will manage all post-excavation activities within the Power Station Complex (caverns and tunnels), including overseeing excavation completion, formwork-reinforcement-concrete (FRP) works, and coordinating with Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) installations. It involves managing interface activities across the PSC, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, fully functional complex while maintaining strict adherence to Project safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate excavation, civil, and E&M work.
  • Oversee concreating and FRP activities, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Ensure civil work is ready for E&M and HM installations.
  • Promote teamwork across project teams and contractors.
  • Enforce safety standards and manage risks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements.
  • Provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure work meets specifications, address non-conformances, and maintain records.
  • Act as the main contact for stakeholders and provide regular project updates.
  • Track budgets and expenses for PSC construction works.
  • Optimise resource use, including workforce, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and schedule improvements through construction sequencing.

What You'll Bring

A tertiary degree in Engineering or Construction/Project Management, with over 10 years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including underground hydro power station construction. You’ll have proven expertise in FRP/concreting works, E&M and HM installation coordination, and interfacing with electrical and mechanical systems. Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability are key, as well as a deep understanding of Quality, OH&S, EEO, and Environmental policies. Additionally, you’ll bring experience in resource planning, project cost management, and relevant licenses and training.
