Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our high performing team. Reporting to the People Services Manager and supporting the wider P&C team, you will play a pivotal role in the introduction of a new HRIS, managing the employee lifecycle, as well as provide responsive and accurate HR advice and services, ensuring the accuracy of employee and position data in the various people systems.

You will be a natural at engaging with people and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the business.

You will have experience in the following HR areas:

  • Managing the employee lifecycle by maintaining accurate records in the HRIS, employee files and other document management systems
  • Generating employment contracts and letters, auditing, maintaining and administering employee entitlements such as leave, allowances, incentives etc
  • Understanding and interpreting employment laws, enterprise agreements and employment contracts and answering employee queries

The ideal candidate with be able to demonstrate:

  • Diploma or degree in an HR related discipline and/or 5+ years equivalent industry experience
  • High level of attention to detail and quality of output with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within tight timeframes
  • Strong computer literacy, with the ability to use spreadsheets to interpret and analyse data, and provide accurate reports
  • Proficient in word processing, presentations and general administrative support
  • Customer service skills with the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships across various levels within the business
  • Drivers licence (to enable movement around the region as required)
  • Experience working with SAP Success Factors is highly desirable but not required
