About the position:
As an Electrician at Snowy Hydro, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our hydroelectric power generation assets. This position requires applying broad electrical knowledge to ensure the reliability and availability of our plant equipment.
This position is based at Khancoban NSW and is not a DIDO or FIFO arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting maintenance activities: Execute planned and corrective electrical work to keep our generation assets operating at peak efficiency.
- Perform critical high-voltage diagnostics on power generation assets, safeguarding their performance through cutting-edge condition monitoring techniques.
- Contributing to plant upgrades: Apply your expertise to modernisation projects that enhance our power generation capabilities.
- Assisting with overhaul projects: Participate in major refurbishment efforts to extend the life and improve the performance of our electrical systems.
- Ensuring operational readiness: Conduct electrical activities that directly support the day-to-day operation of Snowy Hydro's generating plants.
- Meeting quality standards: Perform all work to required technical specifications, ensuring the continued availability and reliability of our power generation assets.
- Problem-solving: Use your specialised knowledge to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve Snowy Hydro's operational goals.
