The Role
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Social Impact and Community team as an Education Engagement and Curriculum Consultant. In this newly created position, your focus will be to promote Snowy Hydro's commitment to STEM education by designing and implementing education initiatives to engage with students across the National Electricity Market. You will build strong relationships within the education sector, leveraging the STEM Academy to showcase the critical role of renewable energy in driving a sustainable future.
Please note this role can be based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Snowy Mountains and will require regular domestic travel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain engaging curriculum materials aligned with the Australian Curriculum, incorporating innovative technologies and promoting Snowy Hydro's key messages.
- Drive educational initiatives that are integral to Snowy Hydro's social impact strategy, showcasing the company's commitment to empowering the next generation.
- Review and update existing curriculum to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
- Design and deliver scalable educational programs tailored to diverse audiences and learning styles.
- Present educational programs through workshops, presentations, and interactive activities highlighting Snowy Hydro's operations and Australia's journey to net zero.
- Expand the reach and impact of the Snowy STEM Academy through meaningful digital learning initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of educational programs and resources.
We are looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification in education, training, or a related field, or demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in leading and implementing successful education initiatives in either a school or corporate setting.
- Strong passion for and understanding of STEM and STEM education principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships effectively.
- Knowledge of digital learning frameworks, including design, development, and application.
- In-depth understanding of STEM-related syllabi and the ability to creatively develop curriculum.
