Join our Defence Clothing Services team as a Seamsperson in Amberley, QLD, and play a key role in maintaining high-quality clothing for Defence personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and fit customers for clothing items.
  • Perform seamsperson duties, including sewing rank, insignia, and badges.
  • Complete basic sewing tasks such as hemming, ironing, alterations, and medal mounting. 
  • Accept and inspect returned items for serviceability and re-issue.
  • Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness in your work area.
  • Comply with all company WHS, Risk, and Environmental policies.

About you:

  • Proficient in hand stitching and sewing machine alterations 
  • Experience with heavy-duty sewing machines is an advantage
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Customer service experience and confidence in face-to-face interaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation 

Must be eligible to hold a Defence of Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement, the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
