Health and Injury Management Partner

About the role: 

As the Health & Injury Management Partner you will provide specialist support to Ventia’s diverse sectors, effectively implementing workers compensation and health and injury management activities for our employees.  

In this role you will:

  • Support implementation of sector workers compensation and health management strategies for injury management, illness prevention and management of all employee and workplace wellbeing factors.
  • Facilitate co-ordination of claims, rehabilitation and return to work activities.  
  • Develop effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Case management strategy development and implementation for workers compensation, health and injury management matters.  
  • Establish and maintain effective networks with treating doctors, insurers and rehabilitation providers, including review of preferred providers.  
  • Monitor and track claim trends, costs, and outstanding liability.
  • Identify sector training and development needs and facilitate information and delivery. 

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with return-to-work activities, insurance or Allied Health such as physiotherapist backgrounds are desirable.  
  • Understanding of NSW Workers Compensation legislation.
  • Understanding of Comcare legislation would be held in high regard but not essential. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, prioritise and adapt to changing conditions. 
  • Demonstrated success in management of Workcover claims to accelerate employee return to work and reduce Workcover costs.
