Food and Beverage Utility - RAAF Edinburgh

The Role
Ventia, in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, are seeking enthusiastic Food & Beverage team members to deliver exceptional front of house customer service across service areas, dining areas, and bars. Your role will involve customer assistance, bar service, point of sale operations, stocking shelves, displaying stock, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
This is a casual position based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. The kitchen operates daily from approximately 6:00am to 9:30pm, with VIP events extending until around 11:00pm. This position will also have opportunities to work across the other metropolitan and regional sites managed by Ventia. (Hours/shifts will vary from week to week)
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare bars and dining areas prior to opening.
- Provide exceptional customer service including welcoming customers, responding to their requests in a timely manner and ensuring we have exceeded their expectations.
- Ensure bar services are supplied in line with Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol Standards and licensing arrangements.
- Support stock management initiatives, including stock rotation, review of labels and used by dates, loading and unloading supplies, restocking consumables, and assist with stock take activities.
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures, verify all equipment is working correctly, and is used properly to safely prepare, hold, and serve food and drinks.
Position Requirements:
- Prior experience delivering food and beverage services in hotels, restaurants, and high-volume dining establishments. (Required)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification. (RSA) (Required)
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
- Current Australian drivers licence. (Required)
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
