Electrician


The Role
Ventia currently looking to engage a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne, WA. In this role you will be responsible for electrical maintenance across a defence base including repairs, planned and reactive maintenance campaigns as well as high voltage switching programs.


This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 03:30pm (with paid overtime opportunities and some flexibility) with 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.


The payrate for this position is $44.80 per hour.


To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Key duties, but not limited to: 

  • Conduct maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, repairs & planned works
  • Complete work orders and verify tasks in accordance with requirements
  • Report and qualify detected equipment faults to supervisors
  • Fault finding activities & reactive maintenance
  • Develop & carry out HV switching programmes
  • Small Installations, emergency lighting, lamp changes and strip outs


Skills & Experience:

  • WA Driver’s License
  • Trade Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
  • WA Electrical Licence
  • Experienced in low voltage, fault-finding and general maintenance
  • High Voltage Switching Operations qualification – Highly regarded
  • Previous exposure to high voltage installations – Highly regarded
