Due to recent growth within Ventia’s Critical Infrastructure Telecommunications team, we’re excited to welcome a full-time permanent Electrical Designer to our dynamic and expanding crew.

This role offers a unique opportunity to travel across New South Wales, visiting sites in diverse and remote areas. You’ll need to be comfortable working away from home for short periods and driving to regional locations. A 4WD company pool vehicle will be provided for travel.

What’s on offer:

  • Attractive salary package plus access to exclusive employee benefits including discounts on travel, insurance, banking, fitness, novated leasing, and more.
  • Flexible hybrid work model – enjoy a mix of work from home and from our Arndell Park or Parramatta office.
  • Ongoing professional development – access to internal training and learning pathways to support your career growth.
  • Career mobility – explore diverse roles within our Telecommunications contract or across the broader Ventia network.
  • Hands-on experience with unique projects and exposure to cutting-edge technology.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness support including our EAP, Healthy Minds, and Healthy Bodies programs.
  • Supportive and respectful team environment led by a manager who genuinely invests in your professional growth.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing turnkey Critical Infrastructure systems including DC Power Systems, Uninterruptable Power Systems (UPS), Solar Hybrid Power Systems, Diesel Generating Plant, and supporting AC, HVAC, and structural systems.
  • Supporting design and construction teams across end-to-end project lifecycles: forecasting materials, preparing quotes, and developing engineering solutions.
  • Collaborating with construction crews to optimise designs and streamline processes.
  • Liaising with suppliers and clients to ensure projects meet quality and timeline expectations.

About you

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of electrical theory
  • Practical experience is highly regarded, such as working as a field technician or exposure to the telecommunications, maintenance or construction industries.
  • Comfortable using software including Excel, Access, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
