Cleaner


About the role
We have an opportunity for a Cleaner to join the Ventia team as part of the Defence and Social Infrastructure contract. The successful Cleaner will undertake cleaning activities on site in accordance with the daily, periodical and emergency cleaning programs whist ensuring that all HSE requirements are being satisfied. The successful candidates will be a part of a dynamic team that promotes and supports inclusion, diversity, and career progression. This role will be based at the Woodside Barracks, with the possibility of working across multiple Adelaide metro Defence sites.

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Undertake daily cleaning on carpeted floors, sealed and unsealed internal hard/resilient floors, toilets & ablution amenities, canteen and food preparation areas.
  • Remove garbage and litter.
  • Clean external hard surfaces and grassed and other non-paved areas.
  • Work across multiple sites.
  • Role to include driver tasking.

About you:

  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial environment (highly desirable)
  • Cert III in Asset Maintenance (desirable)
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen
