This is a unique chance to make a valuable contribution towards establishing as well as maintaining a clean and secure environment for our valued students and staff members. Please note we require you to have 5 days availability across Monday to Friday.

As a Team Member, you will be responsible for completing specific cleaning tasks on a schedule including but not limited to:

  • Cleaning of all touch points (taps, bubblers, handrails, door handles, bathrooms etc)
  • Mopping, sweeping, wiping, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of toilets, cobwebbing and external groundwork.
  • Maintenance of stock supplies and orders
  • Duties may vary from site to site.

Skills & Experience:

  • No prior experience required.
  • Proficient in working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication and time management capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset with an attention to detail.
  • Be able to follow and carry out tasks given by your supervisor.
  • Physical fitness is essential for this role, as it involves physically demanding tasks. The ability to comfortably handle the physical requirements of the role is crucial to ensure success and maintain a safe working environment.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Cleaning Supervisor, you will provide high quality Cleaning Services to the Catholic schools within the Newcastle - Maitland diocese. The suitable applicant must have reliable transport to and from work. You must also be able to pass a National Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical (including drug & alcohol testing), and obtain a paid Working with Children Check, prior to commencement.
