SHEQ Advisor
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ventia is looking to engage a Toowoomba based SHEQ Advisor to join our well-established Health & Safety Team. This role will help drive the health and safety initiatives within Ventia’s Toowoomba contracts working Monday to Friday. You will hold responsibility for managing health and safety across multiple sites, including Workshop, Office, Airport Hanger and Warehouse.
DUTIES INCLUDE
- Undertake aspects of the Environment and Quality function
- Undertake investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations
- Ensure risk assessments and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed
- Promote the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment
- Assist in delivering the audit program
- Develop and deliver safety related training including new starter induction, toolbox talks and pre- start meetings
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in HSE
- Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Investigation skills
- Lead audit skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold a C Class manual driver’s licence
