Civil Engineer


Job Summary

AECOM’s Highways Team in Brisbane is looking for highly driven Civil Engineers who want to deliver a wide variety of moderate to major infrastructure projects, with a focus on establishing and building excellent client relationships. We are seeking future leaders with an interest in long term growth in AECOM - individuals who are looking to develop their career within a global organisation.

The Highways Team lead a range of projects for infrastructure clients, from active transport business cases to motorway detailed designs. The variety of projects we deliver provides opportunity to try different things, working in a large team on a major project or delivering across a portfolio of smaller projects. This role will give you the opportunity to develop and shape your career.

Working with a high performing team of engineers, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will be supporting the team in winning, managing and delivering transport infrastructure projects that make a difference in the communities where you live. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across our organisation to create whole-of-business success.

Minimum Requirements

  • You will have 3+ years of relevant professional experience

  • You are passionate about developing yourself to be a future leader and initiator of our vision to build a better world.

  • You recognise that the key to your success in this role is to deliver on your promises and develop and maintain strong client relationships will be keys to your success in this role

  • You will have or be working towards CPEng and RPEQ status

Demonstrated experience in the following is desirable:

  • Experience in delivering transport infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time

  • Experience in Planning and Detailed Design of transport infrastructure, including geometric design, sign design (regulatory/directional), services conflict assessment/management, safety barrier design and coordination of multi-disciplinary design inputs.

  • High quality technical and non-technical report writing in plain English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
