About the role

We have a permanent opportunity joining our Operations Services team, you’ll lead a team delivering complex investigations, electrical design assessments and implementation, maintenance planning, critical fault response and special projects for high voltage infrastructure assets across the state. Based in our Canning Vale office, this role will be reporting to our Manager Operations Program Delivery.

What the role will involve

  • Lead and manage the design, construction, and commissioning of projects and the four-year maintenance program for high voltage (HV) electrical infrastructure assets and systems
  • Monitor and report on the performance of projects and programs
  • Contribute to the negotiation and management of contracts which relate to HV assets and systems
  • Develop, implement and manage monitoring, asset condition assessments and inspection programs
  • Develop an obsolescence strategy to ensure the HV assets are maintained and replaced before the end of design life
  • Lead engagement and negotiation with the regulator and network utilities in relation to HV electrical compliance
  • Represent the Corporation in consultations and negotiations with external stakeholders including Government agencies, local authorities, consultants, developers and community groups

Key skills and experience

You’ll have a degree level qualification in engineering, or equivalent along with extensive engineering experience in design and maintenance of HV electrical infrastructure assets and systems. You’ll also have experience with high voltage planned maintenance activities in compliance with Australian Standards.

Your demonstrated leadership skills with values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive and high performance culture with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role. You’ll bring extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and be a strategic thinker with a track record of management & delivery of complex projects.
