About the role:

We have a permanent full-time opportunity available in our Albany Regional Office for a Senior Procurement Advisor. In this role, you will plan for, source and manage preferred supplier agreements and contracts for strategic goods and services for the Corporation.

About you:

There are a few things we would like to see in your CV;

  • Demonstrates well-developed knowledge and understanding of the application of procurement procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates capability in managing suppliers as appropriate for the role (SRM, problem resolution) with a focus to improve Contract relationships and performance.
  • Awareness of local buying policies (including Aboriginal businesses and businesses local to the relevant, project location or activity) in the supply chain, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver sustainable economic benefit.
  • Has the ability to deliver business efficiency and effectiveness through application of best practice purchasing and Contractor management performance principles and practices.
  • Demonstrates good computing skills, is able to use Microsoft suite
  • Experience using ERP systems/SAP is desirable
  • Completed or currently working towards relevant Purchasing and Supply Chain qualifications or CIPS membership is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with Govt systems would be an advantage

Some of the things you’ll be doing include but are not limited to:

  • Identify Contract management opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and schedule forward plan of Contract activities, including management of current contracts, renewals, and new requirements.
  • I Working on Contract improvement initiatives for managed categories, while consulting with key internal stakeholders to drive procurement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Initiate and analyse Corporate spend for consolidation.
  • Develop and implement a procurement plan or strategy to meet customers’ requirements and provide value for money.
  • Work with the Corporations Systems team to update or establish supplier catalogues in eProcurement.
