About Us

Water Corporation provides water and sewage services throughout Western Australia. We manage trade wastewater and backflow prevention compliance programs to the prescribed regulations, policies, and standards to ensure that customer-related activities do not compromise the integrity or operation of Corporation’s services and assets.

What the role will involve

  • Work in a team environment to deliver the Corporation's Trade Waste and/or backflow prevention programs
  • Investigate, coordinate, and deliver the Corporation's compliance management activities with our trade waste and/or backflow prevention programs, to ensure that customer related activities do not compromise the integrity or operation of the Corporation’s services, assets or the environment
  • Plan, schedule, and perform a variety of field and office-based activities related to compliance management of customers’ trade waste requirements to ensure customer compliance with the Corporation’s policies and legislative requirements
  • Translate technical information or legislative requirements to our customers and provide a high-quality customer service to Commercial and Industrial customers to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • There will be travel to regional centres to meet with our various trade waste and backflow customers
  • You will receive on the job training and support to develop the skills related to Trade Waste and backflow management compliance management

About You

Have previous experience in managing customer compliance in a technical or regulatory field such as Environmental Health, Wastewater Management, Trade Waste or similar?

Do you thrive working within highly structured, well defined, and documented processes and are always on the lookout for ways to improve on them?

Do you enjoy delivering excellent customer service and building quality relationships with relevant stakeholders at all levels?

If you answered yes to the above questions along with key skills and experiences below, we are seeking someone like you.

Key skills and experience

  • Degree level qualification in science, engineering discipline or substantial experience in managing technical compliance requirements
  • Well rounded technical, problem solving, analytical skills and ability to follow a documented process.
  • Ability to undertake both office and the field work
  • Have excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and history of excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively plan and schedule work within a structured process-based environment.
  • Current driver’s licence essential (minimum C Class)
