About the role
We have a 2 year fixed term opportunity for a Senior Engineer Mechanical Design joining our engineering team that undertakes, leads and delivers quality planning, definition, design and design management services on multiple complex projects across WA. You’ll provide a centre of expertise, technical support and advice to planners, designers, constructors and operators as well as set our standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to help Water Corporation adopt more sustainable, reliable and easier approach to providing one of life's essentials – water. The role will be based in our Leederville office and will report to our Team Lead – Mechanical Design.

What the role will involve
Key skills and experience
You’ll have a degree level qualification in mechanical engineering, along with experience in relation to design and management of delivery of infrastructure assets. You’ll also have experience in the preparation of detailed designs and review of technical reports and tender specifications for significant pumping system and/or valve complexes. Your demonstrated leadership, and ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role. Previous water related professional engineering experience is advantageous but not essential.
