About the role

Looking for a leadership development opportunity, and living a peaceful lifestyle in beautiful picturesque Busselton, here is the right role available on a permanent basis. This role will be 2IC working in an open and transparent management style, alongside a team of 10.

A Senior Operator is required to lead and coordinate the operational maintenance of water supply and wastewater, plus share your knowledge and skills by providing advice to Trainees, whilst liaising with the Shire and stakeholders ensuring legislative and company compliance.

What you can expect with this role

  • Coordinate and manage effective operation, maintenance and repairs to water and wastewater assets in the Leeuwin District
  • Assist with job planning to ensure safety and equipment is appropriately resourced and meets required standards
  • Provide advice and/or assist Trainees and other contractors as required
  • Liaise with Shires, consultants and contractors for major works projects to ensure legislative and company compliance

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • Certificate IV in Leadership or Management, or working towards one
  • A reasonably high degree of leadership and planning skills
  • Certificate III in NWP, as a miniumum
  • Minimum 2 years at Operator Level 4
  • Water Sampler Qualification
  • Confined space, SCBA and/or gas monitoring certifications desirable
  • Ability to work on a standby roster
