About the role

Our Aboriginal Communities Water Services (ACWS) program was established in July 2023 to manage the transition from the Department of Communities to Water Corporation for providing safe and reliable water services to remote Aboriginal communities. The ACWS program is a critical component of our Thrive2035 goals, our Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow Strategy, and the transformation roadmap.

Our Regional Coordinator provides critical high-level and confidential support to our Regional Manager ACWS and Lead Team. You must have strong interpersonal skills to build a rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities whilst delivering a high standard of work.

You will work closely with the Lead Team to provide support across a wide range of areas of business administration services such as diary and travel management, events coordination, attending to ministerial correspondence and preparation of Executive and Board papers.

What the role will involve

  • You will be proactive and manage the Regional Manager ACWS’s calendar to resolve schedule conflicts in advance and build space for priority tasks and critical engagements
  • You will coordinate and effectively manage all Board, Executive and Board Sub-Committee papers and actions for the Business Unit in an accurate and timely manner
  • You will monitor Ministerials, Priority Ones (P1’s), Briefing Notes and Parliamentary questions and undertake liaison as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely provision and response
  • You will provide a high-quality service to internal and external customers while building successful relationships on behalf of the Regional Manager ACWS
  • You will liaise and coordinate information with external and internal stakeholders and committees as required

About you

  • Substantial support and administrative experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and high attention to detail
  • A pro-active mindset with the skill of working well under pressure with conflicting priorities
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and focussed in high pressure situations
