About the role:

We have a permanent full-time opportunity available for Procurement Advisor in our Leederville office. In this role, you will provide comprehensive procurement services to all Group, Business Unit & Regional Customers within the Corporation, including strategic sourcing, purchasing and expediting of a broad range of goods and services to agreed standards and specifications.

About you:

There are a few things we would like to see in your CV;

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of contemporary Procurement theory and practice, including sound understanding of electronic trading applications and processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Procurement regulatory requirements and codes of practice.
  • Substantial procurement experience in a large multi-disciplined engineering focussed commercial organisation.
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of business communications and stakeholder relationship management with the ability to effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholder
  • Strong computing skills, including ability to use Microsoft suite of systems and demonstrate the capability to learn and apply the Corporations suite of business computing applications.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include but not limited to:

  • Review and verify the adequacy of shopping carts received for the acquisition of goods and services to ensure that they are accurate and clearly specify the goods and/or services to be acquired.
  • Solicit bids for the acquisition of goods and services as required and prepare recommendations for approval.
  • Purchase goods and services as required to established standards and specifications, ensuring value for money principles are applied.
  • Provide procurement support to Groups, Branches and Regions to agreed service levels. (May be required to travel State-wide).
  • Identify and establish preferred and pre-qualified suppliers.
