About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for a Manager Operational Program Delivery, this newly created role will be joining our operations services team in Leederville. You’ll lead a portfolio that manages the delivery of complex operational programs. Providing strategic direction on delivery strategies and support the Head of Operations Services to lead, manage and provide a centre of expertise in delivery of High Voltage Maintenance & Bushfire Mitigation across WA.

What the role will involve

  • Manage and provide strategic direction to Regional & Metro Managers in their management of multi-functional teams managing the delivery of Bushfire Mitigation & HV Maintenance activities
  • Ensure health, safety, environment and quality risks are identified and assessed across the portfolio and communicated to relevant parties including contractors, and that suitable controls are implemented and monitored
  • Manage an Engineering team to deliver complex investigations, maintenance planning and critical fault response of high voltage infrastructure
  • Provide technical evaluation for electrical asset condition assessment reports and guidance to improve high voltage planned maintenance instructions
  • Maintain and manage the schedule delivery of planned maintenance activities to enable optimum decisions associated with scope, schedule management of risk & customer service
  • Represent Water Corporation as needed on committees and external councils
  • Adopt a partnering approach with external customers including power utilities, industry regulators and government agencies to create strategic professional relationships

Key skills and experience

You’ll have a degree level qualification in engineering, project/ program management along with experience in providing engineering project controls services. You’ll have extensive experience with high voltage assets, managing delivery of operational projects and experience with water industry engineering infrastructure & assets.

Your demonstrated leadership skills with values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive and high-performance culture with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence both senior internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.

You’ll bring extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams geographically dispersed across the state and be a strategic thinker with a track record of management & delivery of complex projects portfolio meeting various performance measures aligned with customer needs.
