You’ll be installing, testing and performing routine and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the region.
We are seeking an individual who takes ownership of their work area and is able to work effectively independently but also contributes to a positive team environment and safety culture.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for the provision of electrical and instrumentation services including scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance and installation, testing, fault finding, repair and enhance reliability of electrical and instrumentation assets within the Water and Wastewater industry. On occasions you will provide breakdown and after-hours support services.
Main Duties will involve:
Advanced Fault finding on PLC Instrumentation and SCADA equipment
Performing scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance in water/wastewater systems and installs electrical and instrumentation components
Performing complex isolation and shutdowns procedures
Complex problem solving of water systems, water, wastewater and chemical dosing systems
Planning work and solving water industry problems
Planning and preparing for maintenance projects on isolated asset
Key skills and experience:
We are seeking an Electrical Dual Trade qualified candidate, ideally possessing trade experience in water supply and wastewater services with the ability to repair and overhaul equipment, such as pumps, gearboxes and valves.
You will be involved in the occasional regional travel will be required within the Perth North Region.
Your dedication to Occupational Health and Safety including hazard identification and well developed communication skills are essential for this position along with the following:
Electrical Trade and Instrumentation qualification
Experience in service and maintaining water treatment equipment will be highly regarded
Relevant High Risk Licenses
W.A ‘C ‘Class Drivers Licence
