About the roles

We have several permanent opportunities for Senior Planners joining our Metro Networks team. The roles will focus on asset planning activities associated with conveyance projects required to integrate enable growth of the Perth Metro area and to integrate new sources into existing network. You’ll work with several groups within Water Corporation to optimise the Metro Water Conveyance Network to ensure our conveyance system can transfer water efficiently and effectively from the source to our customers through a complex system of pipes, pump stations tanks and reservoirs. You’ll be responsible for assessing the risk and improving customer service levels with respect to conveyance planning for water networks.

One role will be based in Leederville and reporting to the Team Leader – Metro Water Networks.

Two roles will be based in Leederville and reporting to the Team Leader – Metro Water Conveyance Integration.

What the role will involve:

  • Assess asset and system performance and risk to inform investment decisions.
  • Undertake water network planning and develop capital, operating, regulatory, monitoring and maintenance plans.
  • Develop investment programs, business cases and projects that mitigate risk and meet our asset investment objectives.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders regarding planning options, solutions and recommendations.

Key skills and experience

You’ll be degree qualified in civil engineering, or similar discipline, with experience in conveyance planning for water schemes. You’ll also have demonstrated experience with hydraulic modelling and analysis, report writing, presentation and financial analysis. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will ensure success in this role.
