About the role:

Customer Billing Operations manages our billing and revenue collection services that enable us to deliver sustainable water services to the people of WA. We provide a safe place for our people, positive culture and have a strong commitment to developing and empowering our people to deliver our best performance.

This role is part of our Concessions and Conveyancing team based in Balcatta. Our Conveyancing team is responsible for high volumes of work, processing and facilitating land sales for our accounts, problem solving and investigating enquiries whilst seeking a fair and balanced outcome that fits within Corporation Standards. They continuously strive to provide exceptional customer service and customer education regarding the settlement process and the beginning of the customer’s journey with the Water Corporation.

What the role will involve:

  • Be Water Corporations property settlement technical expert who provides support to Customer Billing Operations, our wider business and to our external customers on property settlement to ensure accurate billing and property records.
  • Ensuring consistency in our quality assurance reviews, driving performance, improving standards, and delivering results.
  • Handling complex enquiries and escalated customer complaints when dealing with Ombudsman, Ministerial and Priority One’s, is central to this role.
  • Create and implement training material.

Your skills and experience

  • Considerable experience in delivering high level customer service, in a technical environment.
  • Considerable experience in managing workflows across multiple streams and coaching people to enhance business capability.
  • Considerable experience working with customer billing practices and processes, applications, and systems.
  • Relevant experience in a large commercially focussed organisation providing conveyancing services.
  • Knowledge of, or the capability of understanding of relevant legislation, and procedures in relation to property records, maintenance, and billing.
  • Demonstrated computing skills and knowledge of the Microsoft suite of computing applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict timeframes.
  • Leadership and influencing skills,
  • Technical communication and instructional writing skills
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly.
