About the role

We have a 2-year fixed term contract opportunity for a Business Projects – Senior Advisor to provide an advisory role within the business to ensure business initiatives are delivered in accordance with Business Unit Plans and agreed timeframes.

What the role will involve

  • Lead, advise and participate in the development, implementation and ongoing review of customer focussed strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Undertake urgent, and-hoc and short-term assignments and projects.
  • Develop and promote initiatives to encourage a team oriented, high-performance culture in Development Services
  • Inform and regularly communicate with the Manager regarding project progress, impacting issues, drivers, influencing outcomes and identified opportunities.
  • Establish a process for measuring and reporting on project benefits as part of the implementation strategy of each project.
  • Lead and advise on complex, high impact projects at a business unit, group and corporate level, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience and business process.
  • Advise on the development and effective implementation of best practice systems and reporting structures to facilitate improved project delivery.
  • Ensure activities comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy, procedures and standards.
  • Participate in the review of relevant legislation and ensure that associated policies, guidelines and standards are appropriate and up-to-date.

Key skills and experience

  • Tertiary level qualification in commerce, business or relevant discipline and substantial experience in a large commercially focussed state-wide organisation providing customer related services,
  • Substantial experience in a large commercially focussed state-wide organisation providing customer related service.
  • Considerable experience in contributing to / developing and implementing customer focussed strategy, policies, guidelines, process improvements and change management.
  • Considerable experience working within the corporate legislative, regulatory and accountability frameworks.
  • Considerable experience in business process analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Relative experience in developing relationships within the business to support process improvement.
