Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for building strong customer relationships and managing the sales pipeline to achieve growth in identified market segments in line with the Wholesale Fuels Business strategy. You will apply commercial acumen to negotiate and close deals whilst assuring profit margins are grown and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales pipeline and customer lifecycle to retain and facilitate growth
  • Grow market share by leveraging existing customer base by sourcing to identify new opportunities within the Wholesale Fuel Business products and services.
  • Deliver results within the approved margin/pricing matrix.
  • Work within a prescribed framework and pro-actively work with the Credit Team to ensure all business-critical information is provided, allowing an effective and efficient credit assessment process.
  • Manage customer debtors and credit limits in line with the prescribed framework.
  • Be available to travel with notice both locally and interstate when required either by car or plane.
  • Manage equipment requirements assisting our customer whether it be new or existing equipment queries.

Ideally, you’ll have worked within Sales, account management or a client/customer solutions position and be willing to learn, grow and add to an already successful team within a high performing business.

You’ll bring:

  • A background working within Fuel or the wider agricultural/primary producer sectors.
  • Be adept at solving problems, identifying pain points through listening to achieve solutions
  • Ability to share relevant information across the business through strong communication skills.
  • Manage stakeholders through a strong understanding of internal and external customer needs.
  • Make sound commercial decisions in a timely manner through a strong ability to solve complex problems.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Self-motivation
  • An ability to understand the financial effects of certain choices and decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
